From the opening notes of Stench of Redemption, the listener becomes keenly aware that this is not your daddy’s Deicide. This is an improved version of one of Florida’s best known death metal bands.

By now everyone who knows anything about true metal is well aware of Jon Nodtveidt’s death by his own doing. A poignant fact only brought more to the forefront upon the realization that no further masterpieces of a brilliant songwriter and riff master will ever be heard. Without Jon there is no Dissection as well it should be.
